HH mourns President Hassan’s husband

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has sent a message of condolences to Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan after the death of her husband Hafidh Ameir Hassan.
In a Facebook post, Hichilema said Zambia joined Tanzania in mourning the death of the first gentleman.
“We convey our deepest condolences to Her Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan on the passing of her husband, Hafidh Ameir Hassan,” Hichilema said.
Hassan died yesterday while receiving treatment in Zanzibar.
Vice President Deogratius Ndejembi announced that Hassan died at around 8:00 a.m. at Mlimani Mzena Memorial Hospital in Zanzibar after battling a heart condition.
Burial arrangements are already underway in Kizimkazi, Zanzibar.
“It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Honourable Hafidh Ameir Hassan, husband to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan. I offer my deepest condolences to Her Excellency the President, the family, relatives, friends, and all Tanzanians during this time of mourning,” Ndejembi said.
