Edna sprints to Silver in Botswana

ZAMBIAN sprinter Edna Ng’andula won a silver medal at the just-ended Golden Grand Prix Championship in Gaborone, Botswana.
Ng’andula clocked 11.67 seconds in the women’s 100 metres race, finishing among the top performers in the Southern African region.
Her impressive performance comes as part of her build-up to several major international competitions scheduled in the coming months.
Ng’andula is one of the beneficiaries of the Olympic Solidarity Scholarship programme as she prepares for qualification towards the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
The Golden Grand Prix Championship formed part of her preparations for upcoming international assignments, including the All Africa Athletics Championships in Ghana and the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
