Hichilema’s downfall close – Lubinda
By Tony Nkhoma
PATRIOTIC Front (PF) acting president Given Lubinda says President Hakainde Hichilema is digging a grave for himself through his hatred targeted at opposition members.
Addressing the media at the PF secretariat in Lusaka where members and ordinary Zambians gathered to mourn late former president Edgar Lungu yesterday, Lubinda said Hichilema’s downfall would be disastrous.
Lubinda said Hichilema was setting himself a bad trap which would soon catch up with him.
He said it was clear that the ultimate agenda for Hichilema was to send all his opposition opponents to prison.
“Hichilema is setting a bad trap for himself and soon he will fall into it. It will catch up with him, his downfall is very close and will be dangerous and disastrous for him,” he said.
Lubinda pleaded with Hichilema to seek God’s face and unite the country which he had divided.
“Setting himself, if you don’t have love, today I beseech you, kneel down and pray to God that he puts some love in you. Start to love,” Lubinda said.
He urged Hichilema and the United Party for National Development (UPND) to begin treating people in the manner that they wanted to be treated when they leave power.
“But also remember my dear brothers and sisters, no position is permanent. No position in life is permanent. All of us are only strangers on the journey. And what you do to others shall be done unto you. If you want a good ending, make sure that you build a good start. You can never have a good ending if you are starting bad,” said Lubinda.
