Kopulande sees invisible hand in party wrangle
By Adrian Mwanza
THERE is a powerful invisible hand that is trying cause confusion in my party by creating division, People’s Party president Sebastian Kopulande has said.
Kopulande said in an interview he was aware that there was a powerful hand that had bought two of the party’s members.
He said as a result the members had started causing confusion in the party to an extent of even holding an illegal convention.
“We are aware that there is an invisible hand that is behind the confusion that has rocked my party, because there is no way the people who held the extraordinary general conference could expel me,” he said.
Kopulande said it was shocking that the people who attended the convention managed to pay off a K30,000 bill at the bar of a lodge and even managed to book buses to ferry supporters.
He said he could not divulge the name of the hand behind the ‘coup’ but hinted it was coming from the corridors of power.
Kopulande said he had expelled Carlson Chingwengwezi and Agness Kawandami for holding the illegal convention.
He said it was depressing that the two individuals could sink so low and allow themselves to be used by the powers that be.
He wondered how the two individuals could turn around.
Kopulande said he was however not shocked because the duo had a habit of betraying their colleagues as they had done to Saboi Imboela and even the Patriotic Front (PF).
