‘HYENAS’ MUST NEVER RULE AGAIN
…Mweetwa attacks PF leaders at Choma rally

MINISTER of Information and Media Cornelius Mweetwa has unleashed a scathing attack on opposition figures Makebi Zulu, Brian Mundubile and Emmanuel Mwamba, branding them corrupt political hyenas who will never be allowed to rule Zambia again.
Speaking at a political rally addressed by President Hakainde Hichilema in Choma on Wednesday, Mweetwa said Zulu, Mundubile, and Mwamba were crooks who should not be allowed to take over the reins of power again.
“Mr President, Honourable Nyambose, you spoke about ba Chimbwi [Hyenas] and you have not given them names. I will name them because I know them, and I know who you are talking about. You were talking about Mundubile, you were talking about Makebi Zulu, you were talking about Emmanuel Mwamba. Those crooks will not be allowed to rule this country again,” said Mweetwa before he called Minister of Mines Paul Kabuswe to address Choma residents.
Mweetwa also said the PF leaders had been stealing ever since they formed government.
“Bamba buuti kuzwa ciindi bakanjila aba bakatola maliku Chasefu 156 million alya bakabolala, ba swine balikuba. [Since Nyambose was elected, K156 million has been disbursed to Chasefu for people to benefit, the fund thieves and swine stole],” he said.
Earlier, Independent Chasefu Member of Parliament Misheck Nyambose referred to the Patriotic Front (PF) government as hyenas who should not be allowed to be close to goats.
Nyambose said God blessed Zambia with President Hakainde Hichilema, who should be given another five-year term in office.
“I want to conclude with this: there was a person who was keeping goats, and the guy looking after the goats got a hyena. And do you think that allowing a hyena to look after the goats, the goats will survive? Can goats survive with the hyena? You allowed a hyena to take care of your goats, your goats will be eaten, and the hyena will be eating and stealing,” he said.
Nyambose said under the Hyena in government, Zambians were suffering.
Nyambose said the same Hyenas were back and asking to be voted back into power.
“And the same hyena today has come back and wants some work in the goats’ shelter; he is now saying he is a vegetarian. Will you accept him? Baja bachimbwi tibaziba, sininakambepo zinalamuntu ine. [We know who the hyenas are, I have not mentioned any name] Koma mubaziba ba chimbwi lelo babwelela ati lelo nifuna kuti muni votele. [You know the hyena I am talking about, and today they are coming asking for you to vote for them],” he said.
He said it would be unreasonable for the farmer to allow the hyena back just because he claims to be a vegetarian.
Nyambose explained to the people of Choma that he was part of the members of Parliament who voted for Bill 7.
He said Hichilema had done well in the last four years and needed to be given a fresh five-year mandate.
“… If you saw Bill 7, we are the ones who fought for it and made it pass through. Hakainde is a blessing to Zambia. This is a President who doesn’t choose, who doesn’t segregate. I am standing here as an independent MP from Chasefu. Let’s pray for him, let’s keep him. So many bad things have happened because of jealousy. If you hear people talk about the UPND and Hakainde, it is all about jealousy,” he said.
Nyambose praised Hichilema for increasing the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) budgetary allocation from 1.6 million to over 40 million this year.
“I want to tell you what I mean when I say that they are jealous, under them CDF was K1.6 million. They used to choose who should receive it. I will not even mention their names; they were just giving us K1.6 million while Hakainde has given Chasefu K156 million in CDF. Just think about a person giving you K156 million, can it fit on your calculator if you multiply it by 156 constituencies?” he said.
