Lusambo unlawful assembly verdict moved to October 29

By Thandizo Banda

THE Kabwe magistrates court has postponed to October 29 the judgment in the unlawful assembly case involving former Lusaka Province minister Bowman Lusambo and four others.

When the matter came up for judgment Thursday morning, Kabwe resident magistrate Gloria Chipasha apologised to the accused persons for not having been able to complete the judgment due to her illness.

“My sincere apologies for delaying the judgement. I’ve been uwell and was not able to finish the judgement. But I’ve gathered some strength now and we can agree to return to court on Wednesday November 29, 2025 for the judgment,” Chipasha told a fully packed court room.

Magistrate Chipasha ordered four of Lusambo’s co-accused persons to appear for mention in the same matter on October 16 with an exception of Lusambo, popularly known as “Bulldozer” who is serving other jail sentences at Mwembeshi Maximum Correction Facility.

During trial the state called seven witnesses while the defense raised five witnesses.
