Woman raped by two men after drinking spree with husband

A 36-year-old woman from Chambondole Compound in Itezhi-Tezhi District has been raped by two men following a drinking spree with her 34-year-old husband.
The incident occurred around 02:30 on July 3, in a bush near Lee Lodge, with the victim sustaining a painful private part.
The victim complained about general body pains as well and admitted to Itezhi-Tezhi Hospital.
The victim was walking home with her husband when they were attacked by four men near Melissa Shop led by an individual they only identified as Frank.
The four assailants began chasing the couple, causing them to go in different directions.
According to Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Auxensio Daka, two of the suspects, including Frank, allegedly took turns raping the victim before fleeing the scene, while investigations have been launched in the matter.
And a 5-year-old boy from Highlands in Livingstone has died after he was hit by a Toyota ISIS vehicle about 500 metres before the Weighbridge Checkpoint along the Great North Road.
The boy identified Master Vinya Simambo, at the time of the accident was in the company of his 25-year-old mother, Mwangala Sepiso.
Daka said the child was hit while attempting to cross the road, sustaining a broken right leg and hand in the process died on the spot.
The driver of the vehicle, 55-year-old Christopher Hambulo, from Overspill Compound in Choma, escaped uninjured, while the car had a depressed bonnet and a damaged front bumper.
Hambulo is detained in police custody waiting to be charged.
