Mundubile is Tonse parliamentary boss

THE opposition Tonse Alliance has appointed Patriotic Front (PF) Mporokoso Member of Parliament Brian Mundubile as chairman for parliamentary affairs with Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) vice chairman Chifumu Banda as his number two.
Former President Edgar Lungu announced the new appointments in a statement yesterday in his capacity as the alliance’s chairman.
Lungu said he trusted the new office bearers as capable of performing their duties with distinction.
He has also appointed Lusaka lawyer Celestine Mukandila as Tonse national youth chairman while former University of Zambia Students Union (UNZASU) president, who is currently ZAYES founder leader, Shaderick Mumba is the national students affairs chairman.
“On behalf of the Tonse Alliance leaders and members, I am pleased to announce the interim appointments of the following individuals as we finalise the appointment and unveiling of the larger Tonse leadership team,” Lungu said.
The national youth vice chairman is Jason Mwanza (Gen Z Founding President).
Ibrahim Mwamba (SASYDA President) is the national student affairs vice chairman while the national women affairs chairlady is Exilda Mwenya (NED president).
Charity Mpundu Kapona (PF MCC) is the national women vice chairlady.
“I trust and believe that these individuals will distinguish themselves in guiding, shaping, spearheading, and coordinating Tonse Alliance activities in their respective portfolios,” Lungu said.
