The unsettling tale that unfolded in Lusaka’s Garden Compound has captivated the nation, a grim and perplexing saga that defies comprehension. According to reports, a woman had been cohabiting with the skeletal remains of her husband, whom she had presumed murdered two years prior, hidden in the most unthinkable of places – her own matrimonial bed.
The gruesome discovery has left the woman’s neighbors and social media users profoundly disturbed. To investigate the matter, the authorities have apprehended the deceased’s wife, Sylvia Mutoba Kalaba, age 51, along with her four daughters, aged 27, 22, 19, and 15, respectively. According to the police’s findings so far, George Kalaba had not been seen by his neighbors or relatives since 2023. Whenever George’s relatives attempted to visit him at the family’s residence in Garden Compound, where he lived with his wife and daughters, they were met with a barrage of excuses from Sylvia.
