… Hichilema has created favourable environment for business – Mufalali
ZAMBIANS should not hesitate to give President Hakainde Hichilema another mandate because he has created an enabling environment for investors to thrive, United Party for National Development (UPND) national campaign manager Likando Mufalali has said.
In an interview with The Mast Mufalali said President Hichilema had created a very good environment for investors which had resulted in the country flourishing economically.
“This government has shown good will, which has made it possible for investors to invest in the country without fear of losing their investments,” he said.
Mufalali said the UPND had also transformed the agriculture sector as farmers were now able to get value for their crops and livestock.
The farmers were now selling their crops and livestock at a competitive price which was not the case in the past.
He said previous administrations were forcing farmers to sell their produce at government stipulated prices, a situation the UPND had changed.
Mufalali said currently, the Zambian kwacha was the best performing currency in the world, which was testament enough that Hichilema was methodical in the manner he did things.
He said government had come up with various programmes like Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and free education which had helped a son or daughter of a poor man to rise and be equal with those born in affluent families.
“Free education is a plus for the people of Zambia as it has given parents a breathing space to channel their resources somewhere else,” Mufalali said.
He said the UPND had revived the mining sector, which had gone down during the reign of the previous regime.
“If you remember, the mining sector was revived. Under the UPND mines are now flourishing because of President Hichilema’s good will for the people of Zambia,” Mufalali said.
He said the party would not overlook or look down on any province but take development to all the 10 provinces of the country.
