Lusambo case judgement on tomorrow

JUDGEMENT in the case in which jailed former Lusaka Province minister Bowman Lusambo is facing two counts of possession of properties suspected to be proceeds of crime has failed to take place.
However, Lusambo will know his fate tomorrow when the court resumes sitting.
It is alleged that in count one, Lusambo on an unknown date but between May 1, 2015 and December 31, 2021 in Lusaka, jointly and whilst acting together with other unknown persons, possessed property number F/609/E/44/B/9, comprising a single storey four bedroom house, guest wing, gazebo and a car shed located in Chamba Valley, Lusaka, property reasonably suspected of being proceeds of crime.
In court two, it is alleged that Lusambo on a date unknown but between May 1, 2015 and December 31, 2021 in Lusaka, jointly and whilst acting together with others unknown did possess an incomplete block of six flats, constructed on property number F/609/E/50 in Chamba Valley Lusaka, properties reasonably suspected of being proceeds of crime.
This will be the third judgment delivered by the court on various offences against Lusambo.
He is currently serving a four-year prison sentence for acquiring public properties through corrupt means and another two-year sentence for assault.
