CHRISTIAN Democratic Party (CDP) president Danny Pule will call eight witnesses in his defence in a case in which he is charged with seditious practices.
Pule, who is accused of describing government appointments and regional representation as tribal, appeared before the court on Thursday for mention and for a date to be fixed for continuation of his defence.
His lawyers told the court that they intended to call eight witnesses.
The matter was adjourned to November 18, 2026, for mention, while December 14, 2026, was set for continuation of the defence.
Pule is alleged to have made statements between May 16 and May 28, 2024, accusing President Hakainde Hichilema of favouring the Zambezi region in government appointments.
He has pleaded not guilty.
